Leasing-concept: Compact-Storage-System
PRESENT SITUATION
Classic logistics-service is already carried out to 70%. Significant growth, however, takes place within the areas of contract-logistics and Supply-Chain-services.
The market-analysis of contract-logistics shows that this market-segment is fragmented. The largest logistic-service-providers in this market-segment, however, only reach 2% of the world market for contract-logistics. This means that logistic-service-providers have great potential to conquer market-shares through better performances than the competition within the market of contract-logistics.
Specialties of contract-logistics:
- Short contract-terms
- Extreme competition to other service-providers, caused by tendering of specialized consulting-businesses
- 100% power peaks while some seasonal peaks
These specialties of competition offer chances particularly to specialized service-providers.
Because of the named specialities, nowadays many contracts are limited to short-terms.
This means:
- 3 to 5-year contracts with leasing-companies in expensive logistics-halls with potential for arbitrary further utilization (without technology or specialization)
- Because of the arbitrary further application possibilities and the short contract-terms, a specialization of the technique, achieving efficient storage-systems is very cost-intensive and most of the time not possible without elaborate building-modifications.
To satisfy the named, cost-relevant limitations with flexible, automated storage-systems, which can be demounted and put in otherwise after conclusion of the contract, offer great opportunities.
