SMB Shiploading’s cascade-chutes are necessary if the flow-speed of the bulk-material must be optimized and if the grain size of the material is to be maintained.
The emerging dust is "captured" by the suction of the sliding material. Therefore the optional, enclosed dust-aspiration-system is beneficial for the cascade-chute especially when the bulk-material’s dust could cause areas of potentially explosive atmosphere, or if the dusting has to be minimized for environmental reasons.
