SMB Compact Storage System for palettes, paper and drums
What, where, when and how goods are optimally and most economically stored and removed from storage? SMB Logistics answers this question with creative ideas and diverse experience for more than 20 years. The result for the storage logistics is SMB’s Compact-Storage System: It is convenient, fast, safe and cost saving. The Compact Storage System is the most economic alternative for high rack storage systems with high storage frequencies for palettes, paper or drums.
Storing and removing goods from storage means transportation. For this transportation within the storage system, SMB Logistics invented something quite unique: the Truck Shuttle System.
Every level of the storage system is equipped with a simple wagon, containing a shuttle which can move into the canal depth. The shelf system is simultaneously the framework for the conveying technique.
Electronic positioning in x-direction, in combination with electronic position surveillance makes a technically and cost-wise "simple" and definite positioning of the wagon possible. Through the electric drives, equipped with frequency controlled motors, high speeds can be reached while maintaining safe brake and acceleration characteristics.
The shuttle is driven under the palette, lifted and repositioned. High performances through parallel operations and little dynamic loads make this storage system both energy consumption and efficiency wise the most advantageous.

The fire fighting with ESFR sprinklers after FM has already been approved by the VDS. The compact storage system and the stored goods are therefore protected at a maximum of safety at any given time. SMB Logistics developed an independently working software control, which is compatible to all other systems (SAP etc.) over interfaces. This makes permanent inventories at all times possible.
High performances through parallel operations and little dynamic loads make this storage system both energy consumption and efficiency wise the most advantageous.
