The clear decision to focus a significant percentage of our in-house production and manufacturing facility in Quickborn was made many years ago. The primary benefit of this is being independent from third parties is our ability to react to spontaneous customer wishes while maintaining highest quality standards. 
The decision supporting significant production ability and therefore the increase of reliability regarding quality and prompt delivery is confirmed also by a new survey of the “Fraunhofer Institute” for system and innovation-researches, which has been ordered by the VDI. According to this specific study, competitiveness increases rather through active “insourcing”, than “outsourcing” or “downsizing”. This examination is confirmed by the success of the SMB Group particularly during times of financial and economical crisis. The ability of rapid decisions through shallow hierarchies within the company further supports this success.
